Answers:

1. How much will my return cost to prepare?
Fees are based upon forms prepared and the time needed to process and prepare your return.
 


2. When do I pay for my return?
You pay for your return before the return is transmitted to the IRS.
 


3. What are my payment options?
We accept cash, checks, debit and credit cards. We also process electronic refund checks and electronic refund deposits which enable you to pay for your tax return preparation out of your refund check.
 


4. Do I need an appointment?
We offer 'drop off' services without an appointment along with face to face interviews which do require an appointment . Let us know which works best for you.
 


5. When can I stop by if I am dropping off my return information?
Stop by anytime during business hours Monday – Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday 10:00 - 2:00 pm
 


6. I'm a new client. What should I bring with me?
All of the tax documents you received in the mail, a copy of last year's return, your driver's license and social security cards for everyone. Please see our questionnaire and worksheet for a more complete list.
 


7. Do I need to bring a copy of last year's tax return?
Yes, if we didn't prepare your return last year.
 


8. Why do I need to bring in social security cards?
The IRS will delay your refund if even one letter or number does not match your social security card. Help us to help you.
 


9. What do I need to bring in to comply with the new Affordable Care Act provisions?
Please bring in copies of insurance cards for everyone on your tax return. Additionally, please bring in all the new tax documents you receive including Forms 1095-A, Forms 1095-B or Forms 1095-C.
 


10. I worked in another state last year. Can you still prepare my return?
Yes. We prepare returns from all over the country and all over the world.
 


11. I have a few questions, what should I do?
You may call us with short questions or make an appointment.
 


12. What if I have a tax question later in the year?
Pope Tax Service is open 12 months a year. Call us or stop by.
